Help For Heroes rocks...

Chris Evans | 17:33 UK time, Wednesday, 25 April 2012

...and did again today at Stoke Park Golf Club.

Straight there after the show this morning, we turned up to witness ducks, proper real ducks on the fairways in actual ponds. Hilarious.

As always, once the rain stopped we all soon blew dry. And a great day was had by all.

Ten past five now and I'm rushing home to grab a couple of hours Noah time.

Then out with Tash for a quiet but cheeky pub dinner. I'll sleep well tonight. See you on the radio in the morning good people.

Peace and Love.

PS The new windows are very nice, doors to follow tomorrow I think. The vans got stuck in the mud on the green outside because of all the heavy rain. I now need to do some vacuuming and mopping!

Ah Maddy, what a day to have your windows out. I really hope tomorrow goes better for you

Chris, You're mad!!! Venturing near a golf course in this weather! Hope Noah is as lovely as ever - his "Good Morning's" always make me smile!

Thanks Sezza. Two more vans from other houses now stuck in the mud. It's catching people out as the green was dry yesterday. I wonder is it worth vacuuming & moppin g if another lot are turning up tomorrow.

Chris, rather you than me at the Stoke Park Golf Club. I hope you enjoyed your pub meal with Tash.
Horrible day in West Sussex today - rain rain and more rain and very windy.
MaddyMoon, I should leave the vacuuming and mopping till tomorrow as it should be dryer.

Evening peeps, from a grey, blustery, and slightly soggy Edinburgh.

Just popping in to say that Baggy I will cetainly be in touch regarding meeting up. I've got my schedule for the first week I'm there but not the second so once i know a bit better what's going on I'll be in touch. If there are any other London based bloggers keen to meet then get in touch on the other side!

Not much to report today apart from the prescence of a certain US business tycoon in town. Police and protesters everywhere!

    Morning everyone

Blustery and grey here, with showers earlier. Think that's pretty much it for the rest of the week, weather wise.

Bit of a change in routine today: Nic is workign from home this morning so there was no having to get up at silly o'clock, but a more reasonably 7.10 this morning. We both walked The Rascal Randall (in the rain!) and now I'm in my office (aka the Study), Nic's taken over the dining room as his office, and wet paws is in his office (aka the ktichen).

This afternoon we're taking Nics mum to the fracture clinic to see how the broken arm is doing (hence working from home this morning). We can only hope it's healing of its own accord or they may want to operate. They dillied and dallied over this on good Friday when we took her to A&E but said to give it 3 weeks and re-assess the damage.

So, this morning - some mailbox management, some proof reading, a bit of social media and hopefully at some point, lunch!

See you by the water cooler!

    Hi everyone:

Not too bad here this morning, hope I am not speaking too soon! Last night it was just torrential rain - where is it all coming from?!

I loved hearing Chris this morning talking about the ducks on the golf course - I would love to have seen that!

We had MsS with us last night and we spent a very pleasant hour talking about what we would do if we won the lottery ... isn't it great to dream. She tells me that she doesn't want a huge win (£5million maximum!) but should fate deal her the hand of winning BIG, then she will treat her dad and I to a nice house here, and a "holiday home" by way of an apartment in New York! You have no idea how much I want her to have that BIG win!

Maddy: yesterday must have been just awful for you - I was thinking of you. I hope today is not too bad, and I hope you left the vacuuming and cleaning until all the work is completed. xx

Bids: That's great the work is almost at an end. I have no doubt you'll get everything ship-shape in no time!

Cheryl: I do hope Nic's Mum won't need surgery. I have my fingers crossed that she is healing naturally. xx

Debs: I did mean to say to you yesterday, how I envied your luxury stay at the hotel!

Sezza: I must have missed this, but hope your insulation meets the standard!

Have a good day everyone, can't believe it's Thursday already.

    C xx

    Greetings CP & ALL...

    Bingo Star 'ere...

CLP - That reminds me of a story when a was on a golf course and the ball a 'ad just attempted ter 'it went the wrong way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was 'eading straight for a group of 4 golfers and a shouted 'FORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

That's was a moment when a needed not one but 4 ducks on the fairway!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately they didn't duck..... Don't know why but a think they can only think a was shouting 4 instead of fore.... After witnesing 'ow bad me golf was on the previous 'oles.... They probably though a goot a par on a par 4 and thatta was so excited a wa shouting me score of 4 rather than fore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes, like yersen CLP yesterdee..... Being on the golf course ain't that easy at times!!!!!!!!

    Niceness ter each ;-)))))

    Morning all

    good luck for Nic's mum
You know those mornings which you wake up out of kilter and don't get better? Well I'm wishing that I was back in bed - no real reasons - 'rainy days and Mondays' I guess - still a smile on my face for work - as mr bp says - just because you are down, no need to drag down everyone else

    Happy thursday one and all
