EVEN DEATH CRIES WHEN IT'S WRONG.
Yes alright, I know it's a sunny day, it's a glorious day but how about...
...Anthony Hopkin's appointment with death in Meet Joe Black.
What a movie, watched it in two parts, as I do most films nowadays.
All I could think an hour in was, why did so many people say this movie was a stinker when it came out ? I also spent most of the first half of the film wishing Robert Downey Jr. was playing the Brad Pitt roll ?
The movie was excellent, truly excellent and deserving of little or no criticism, when Hopkins walks over the bridge with death at his side, his life lived, his story told, I was liviid at anyone who had stopped me watching this film for the last three years and then...and then... AND THEN.....Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... They were right. What on earth were the producers thinking. The film ends there. It is not sad, it is poetic, it is what happens but not, not NOT...if you know, you'll know. If you don't, it's not up to me to tell you in case, well whatever.
With regards to Robert Downey vs. Bradders, in the end I think The Pitman desreved the gig.

MJB, what an awesome film, have to agree with CE there, loved every second of it.
If you do read this Mr E, watch Mr Brooks (if you have not already seen it) an absolute belter, not too much and too little and a few twists too, Costner is excellent and Demi is very good too.
Cant wait to get out of office, just too hot an I wanna get my kit off for the sun, drink a cold one and relax with the most beautiful woman I know.

The one BIG BIG feature I cant get out of my head about that great film was the girl -absolutely and definately has to be the summit of female beauty, poetry in motion, eyes you could drown in, lips you could cling to, legs you could. . .
Sorry, sorry, getting carried away . .
J'agree about the sudden ending, not good but SHE was . . . O my God, nose you could bite, ears you could nibble, toes you could . . .

Woman's Minute: love Sangria. I got a recipe from a bar in Pineda on the Costa Brava in about 1989 and I still make my own version of it. Jugloads! Red or white! Pepe, the owner of the bar said the red sangria was for true afficioinados and the white for the tourists! Genious!
Also love beers - got a beer festival in town this weekend. Bliss!

Thank you for the good wishes regarding my MiL. She was very down today and I tried my best to keep her from getting too sad. She is a very independent woman and it hit her hard today that she can only get from the lounge to the downstairs loo and back. Imagine me, down, trying to cheer someone up! She seems ok, ate tonight too so mission accomplished.
CtD, thanks hun. Had a sneaky glass of cabernet earlier when cooking dinner, just a little treat. Whilst counting to ten, twenty and beyond.

However Gingembre I have been giving some thought to your 80's fancy dress. Now then, Now then, the top eighties performers were Madonna and U2. You just need a pair of sunglasses to be Bono and your wife needs a frock with some ice cream cones attached. Hope this helps.
