So here I am, CAN YOU SEE ME, AM i saaafe.

Chris Evans | 15:32 UK time, Wednesday, 26 September 2007

I swear I'm seeing a whole new Hi Viz world, I walked in today from WATERLOO, it was like walking through...

... HI VIZ heaven.

I went to my restaurant last night and three customers, (one on his honeymoon dinner !), had brought in HI VIZ tabbards. Not only that, I arrrived at work today and I've been sent this little beauty....

hi_vis_back.jpg

Anyways, in other matters...

Completed my re-viz-ion for my motor cycle theory test on Friday, finished it amongst the pigeons in Liecester Square. I don't think they knew what I was up to. Did you know even a pigeon has to turn into wind to land ?

Currently sat at a keyboard covered in discarded hair and things that have settled between in the qwertys. Looks weird, so best not to look at all.

Played one of my favorite games today... waving at an open top bus tour. I figure the people on board should see at least one famous person when they come to the Big Smoke.

Ha ha ha ha. what a giggle.

So if you're a Sikh you don't have to wear a helmet on a motor cycle, let's hear it for the Sikh's, easy riders !

Up for another blast on the radio, tonight's icon nominee, Sir Tel of the Wogan. The poor lad's up against The Beatles and Muhammed Ali, what's he doing amongst the Big Boys ? You voted him there that's what, God Bless him.

CLP 2007.

It must be a nice feeling CLP, being famous.
I've always been very scared of pushing my music and humour ideas as i'm actually a very shy person.
But that must be so much fun waving at people and making their day or signing the odd graph. Just I feel sorry when it gets out of hand.
I was watching The Jono Ross show the other night and poor Kiera Knightly was saying how she's reduced to tears by the paparazzi following her everywhere - it can't be very nice being too famous.

PS - Your TV Advertisement with the lovely piano playing. Any chance you could re-do it, with the Coldplay guy coming in and sitting down to show you how it's down (not that it would be any better) and you giving him a slap, a la Eric Morcambe. Why is it that so many people seem to love HiVis, and yet seem to be the same people that complain about this country descending into Elf (sic) and Safety hell?

Surely the rise of the HiVis is a direct result of everybody being paranoid about someone not seeing them, veering slightly out of their path and causing themselves a slight twinge in the ankle, for which they need to be off work with stress for a month or two and claim compensation using a no win no fee lawyer/shark type person.

    Is it me?

And I'm no great fan of the Togmeister, however, given that it's supposed to be the Radio 2 icon of the last 40 years, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Radio 2, I reckon he's got a pretty good shout to be the only person on the list to have any real claim to the title. No?

Incredible he says, there’s a £20 note lodged up here; tentatively he eases the twenty out of the man's bottom, and then a £10 pound note appears. This is amazing, exclaims the Doctor. What do you want me to do? Well for goodness sake pull it out, man! shrieks the patient. The doctor pulls out the tenner and another twenty appears, and another and another and another, etc.... Finally the last note comes out and no more appear. Ah Doctor, thank you kindly, that's much better. Just out of interest, how much was in there then? The Doctor counts the pile of cash. £1,990 exactly.
I reckon that’s about right, says the patient.
