Fearne and Reggie

ChartBloggerers, this is the lovely Reggie and the equally lovely Fearne, Reggie and Fearne, these are the mighty ChartBloggerers...some of you may already know each other but it's always nice to start these things off with a welcoming handshake.

Cool! So, here's the thing. As of this weekend, Reg and Fearne are going to be joining us here in our little blog jambouree, because, well, they love us.

They will be writing about the Radio 1 Chart Show, how's it's going, who's coming in to chat, what they said, people they've met, things they've seen...stuff like that.

I can't be any more specific at the moment because, well, that's part of the fun, but have no fear, your regular ChartBloggery will not be affected. It's a coming together of TWO MIGHTY FORCES, PEOPLE...

Or, to put it more realistically, one mighty force and a blog. Join us on Sunday afternoon to see the fun.

Now, would anyone like a biscuit?

  • Comment number 1.

As long as they do their bit to contribute to getting Rybak to the 1000 posts mark, that's fine.

  • Comment number 2.

Well I wanna personally congratulate Reggie on the chart show he did , a couple of days after Michael Jackson passed away .

For me , that was radio broadcasting at it's very best !

  • Comment number 3.

I wanna ask Fearne how Ben is . lol

  • Comment number 4.

Seriously , if they can add to the intelligent , informative and meaningful blogging that goes on here , then they are very welcome.

As long as they love music as much as we do , that's fine .

  • Comment number 5.

    No, I don't like it.

It's gunna become like the Movies blog. I'm not interested in who's coming on the show and why. All I want are song reviews. I'm probably in the minority here but that's the way I feel.

Nothing against Fearne and Reggie, but this just seems pointless. Especially since Fearne is leaving the chart show in September (I think?)

  • Comment number 6.

I would say let's see how we go, Dan. Song reviews aren't going anywhere, that's for sure. And there won't be any less of them. This is just a nice extra thing which will happen once a week.

And who knows, there may even be some new commenters to argu...figh...play with. ;-)

  • Comment number 7.

I personally would actually prefere more variety on the Blog. Ive felt its a bit too much like song reviews at the moment.

I would love to see more -

    - Interviews (I know these are hard to sort).
    - News .. did the Mercury prize nominations pass the blog by? I know we dicussed them on our fiddle playing friends entry but an article could be cool.
    - Festival coverage .. I seem to remember one year you went to The Big Weekend. Some dicussion on other festivals and even that one again would be cool.

    Dark chocolate hob nob please.

  • Comment number 8.

Fraser , as you know I have loved this site for ages and appreciate all the work that goes into it .
I do like it as it is , but with all good things , they evolve and get better .
I am prepared to see what happens . I have no idea , how things will be in practice , so it's a case of wait and see .
Hopefully , it will be great .

  • Comment number 9.

Well, I'll give it a go.

You'll be informed of my opinion!

I would also like a hob nob!!

  • Comment number 10.

    Yeah let's give it a go .

But it better be meaningful music stuff .

I do not want to find out what Peter Andre's favourite colour is , or hear The Arctic Monkeys being asked what their favourite flavour of crisps are .

I like Liam's comments , and I am acutely aware that the current chartblog massive have very high standards of debate .

  • Comment number 11.

I also think that me and Liam would make an excellent interviewing team if needed .

We would get you all the exclusives you need !

    AND THEN SOME !

  • Comment number 12.

Damn right. Ill play bad cop.

To Girls Aloud - Why do The Saturdays make you look amateur?
    To Brandon Flowers - Gunner?
To The Artic Monkeys - With all that money.. you think you be able to afford barbers. What happened?

To name a few topical points. If anybody has any artists they want to name I can come up with a question or two for them that id never be allowed to ask by the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ..

  • Comment number 13.

I also want Liam to interview!

    I'm fearful this isn't a democracy though...

  • Comment number 14.

Someone else likes dark chocolate Hobnobs!
I thought I was alone. And Liam, I see a future career.

I think this would be a good thing, but I'd like them to be opinionated and not sit on the fence just because they play all sorts of music on the request show and obviously the chart show.

  • Comment number 15.

Oh Dear. I hope they don't back track in the archive and read all my comments. We may not get on :-)

Bourbon Creams every time. Hob Nobs for special occasions.

  • Comment number 16.

And if we are all interviewing, I bagsy Muse. and a couple of others..

  • Comment number 17.

speaking of which... after looking on another music website, is there a chance that muse's 'the resistance' will be the most overblown album of all time? eurasia does't seem up to much.. and it has been massively hyped...

  • Comment number 18.

Well I can't wait to interview The Corrs ..

    First question :

"So how did you all meet ? "

  • Comment number 19.

Lol I remembered that ... I had to Google to see who it was .. it was Donna Air.. silly moo!

  • Comment number 20.

The Corrs need to come back. I was listening to 'Talk on Corners' the other day for the first time in years and I had forgotten what a fantastic album it is. It is simply sublime.

Im sorry Im gonna grab Muse. I have tickets to see them in November, I shall tie the interview into that. 1st question -

"When are Kasabian planning on filing a law suit for you stealing their sound?"

  • Comment number 21.

Well Sunday should prove an exciting day , I am knowledgeable and fascinated with all music information and chart positions , DJing , and the whole effort and promotion that goes into having a hit single , so this should prove an interesting experience .

    Mildly excited .
