Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong - Thomas arrowed

Poor Joe Lean and his Jing Jang Jong, they do seem to have had a rough time of it recently. Not rough as in actual physical injury or serious emotional turmoil, but bearing in mind they began the year being touted to the skies as a musical cure for all ills, and they have yet to actually come good on this promise - a promise they did not make, it's fair to point out on their behalf - you wouldn't blame them for feeling a little henpecked by notoriety.

Not that they will admit that they are, as this conversation with guitarist Thomas will demonstrate. What's interesting is that now the NME's attention seems to be wandering off them and onto other bands (hi Glasvegas!), Tommy's idea of overcoming the odds involves a retrospective by the Guardian which says they were good all along, so ner, only in a stiff, intellectual, Guardian-y sort of way.
