Eminem ft. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks & Cashis - 'You Don't Know'

It might be because we've not heard Eminem's voice for a while (apart from snoozing his way through 'Smack That', obv), it might be because Fiddy doesn't have to do a huge amount more than the first verse and the chorus bit, and he's not rubbish for once, or it might be because of the explosive nature of the beat they're all rapping over, but this is blimming MARVELLOUS.

EminemOh sure, it's not remotely festive or friendly or even particularly funny, but it's got bounce and vigour and everyone involved sounds awake and eager to impress, even if it's just each other. And you don't automatically come away from Fiddy's bit thinking how ripe it is that someone with not much to speak of, talent-wise can be quite so sneery about what he's got and what you haven't got. Actually - shock horror - his wheezy tones are sounding pretty strong, for once.

Course, Em's rhyme-riddled lines are a massive step above anything anyone else has to offer. How anyone can make that much sense while rhyming every third word with every other third word is beyond the wit of mortal man, and he pretends to be Hannibal Lecter in the video, which beats any of the on-screen costumes of Bizarre (shower cap) Fiddy (pants on head), Cashis (face scarf) and Lloyd Banks (jacket with hood - CALL THE DAILY MAIL!).

Perks of being in charge, I spose...

Five starsReleased: December 11th
