Steve and Naomi during last week's Beat Backshall
We tried distracting Steve in last week's Beat Backshall by placing a massive camel directly in front of him. However, Steve stillÌýmanaged to prove his awesome knowledgeÌýof the natural world, by getting only one question wrong. He was beaten by BlueVioletPartyCarrot's question - where would you find an aiteng? The answer is that it is an amphibious sea slug found in the mangrove swamps of Thailand or Japan.
The questions Steve got right were:
- How many teeth does a basking shark have?
- Answer: Nobody knows
- Why do polar bears have such big paws?
- Answer: To keep them off the snow, they use them like snow shoes.
- How fast can a giraffe run?
- Answer: 38km/hr
- Is it true that spiders don't like conkers?
- Answer: No it's not true
So will you be able to Beat Backshall this week? Send us your questions now!

We're really sorry to hear that some of you who came to the Deadly Day Out in Horsham experienced problems with queues and receiving wristbands for the main arena show.Ìý Unfortunately, due to the high winds on the day, there was a delay in opening the gates whilst we ensured that everything on site was absolutely safe before the public entered.Ìý
10,000 free tickets were provided for the Horsham event, which gave visitors access to the various activities happening in the grounds on the day.Ìý Wristbands were allocated to those enteringÌý the ground who wished to also watch Steve's live show, but unfortunately not everyone was able to see this as numbers in the show tent were limited.ÌýÌý
We are looking at ways to ensure more of you can see Steve at future events and we did have lots of positive feedback from families who had a fun day out, trying new activities and getting up close to some interesting wildlife.
