The Times Are A Changing...
It's an exciting time here at ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Scotland. Our zones are up and running and we are hours away from the launch of our brand new website which will include a new look for this blog. I saw a preview of it this afternoon and it looks much more contemporary.
Behind the scenes Get It On has been chosen to take part in a hush hush ( so why am I putting it on the blog??) pilot scheme which will make use of the latest technology to enable us to get the music you ask for on air as quickly as possible.
You may have noticed that I now hardly ever say " Oh sorry we don't have that track" or "I will need to try and order that LP and get it for you ina couple of weeks". It's a joy.
It does have it's teething troubles though like on last night's show when the computer presented me with what was supposed to be Bob Dylan and The Band doing I Shall Be Released and instead it turned out to be Chrissie Hynde doing the song. A surprise, but not a totally unpleasant one!
It did remind me that we must do that Dylan covers show sometime soon. get your suggestions in...
