Old Skool, New Skool and Uncooked Samosa's
Its just around the corner, London Mela, Gunnersbury Park, in the past I never really had great experiences of Melas. You know what it was like Uncooked Samosas, dragged round by your parents, white suits and muddy parks and chutney flying all over the place.
This all changed for me last year, when I performed for the first time at London Mela. The day started off with rain rain and more rain, but when this stopped, things really warmed up, the atmosphere was great, the vibe was buzzing and I went red in the face from blowing my whistle to much!!!!
Checking out the line up, I'm most interested in Rishi Rich and his Showcase. It's his first time without the 2 point 9 crew, Juggy and Jay, the big question is can he hack it??? My thought COURSE he can!!! He has been doing it for years and I am sure he will be doing it for many more to come.
At the other end of the spectrum we have Heera on the same stage… as the Showcase. Be interested to see if Dhami will be watching out for H's performance as an old career is revived and a new one started..
Sukshinder Shinda will be wowing the crowds with tracks from his new album, will they be as good live as they are recorded…
And finally, for the first time I will get to perform in the Asian Network Station Wagon, which has been given its very own tent!!! This will be something to see, massive musical muscle in a mix tent. I will be alongside AN new boys, Sonny Ji and the Panjabi Hit Squad…
Blow your whistles!!!
See you Sunday

Just got back from the Mela, I've got to give props to DJ Kayper, I've never heard such an awesome turntablist! You kept the crowd live and dropped some off the hook old school hip hop tunes! Much love and i'll definately be checking you out at Sway bar later this month!
