Recycled Dress inspired by 1940's

I was inspired by the theme of 'make do and mend' from the 1940's. It compliments the contemporary issue of recycling in current fashion. I used chenille on the bodice to create a 4-layer ripped effect. I laminated fabric for the bottom of the dress and created a patchwork effect. The dress also has a patchwork cropped jacket, a bubble wrap bag and a necklace made from old swing tags. It was my coursework piece.
