Title: In My Own World

by Doodles3000 | in writing, poetry, lyrical

In my own world.
Small, but private.
Able to touch the low sky,
It stretches far enough for your liking.
Mountainous.
Desert.
Watery.
Forests as far as you can see.
Farmland.
A meadow that stretches into the horizon.
Your world, your choice.

It could be just you, or overpopulated.
Full of animals roaming free.
Or no one but you.
The sky could be blue.
Grey.
Red.
Orange.
Green.
Your world, your choice.

It could be a gothic world.
A world full of flowers.
A world where everything is made out of candy.
A world where everything is your favourite colour.
A world full of music.
A world that is too silent to be known it exists.
Your world, your choice.

It could be sunny everyday.
It could rain.
Snow.
Hail.
Thunder
If you wish, everything all at once!
You could make it snow in the desert.
Or make a lightening bolt touch the tip of a mountain.
Your world, your choice.

There could be paths to guide you.
Or there are only miles long fields and mazes that you must guide yourself through.
You could live in a cottage.
Or you could live in a magnificent palace.
You could have servants to wait on you.
Or you could serve yourself.
You could live in a world of electricity.
Or you could read books all day.
Your world, your choice

This was a poem I wrote when one day, at about the time of twilight, I was staring up at the sky and I was almost hypnotized by it. It made the world seem much smaller, the mountains and beautiful Canadian forests closing in on me. I just knew I had to get this down on paper.
