Title: Love Through Music

by Tom from East Sussex | in writing, poetry, love

I see life like it's a musical,
There are songs that make you happy,
And songs which make you sad,
You're that happy ending song.

You're that part of the musical,
That brightens up the rainy day,
Even when sadness rises up around me,
You push the bad feelings away.

You're the good things,
That happen to people like me,
You're my light in the darkness,
When it's too dark to see.

You're that person I want close,
At my story's end,
What I see in you is a story on its own,
With a lifetime together to spend.

I would write a million poems,
If you would take the time to be,
That happy song in my musical,
That happy song to me.

You have always been there for me,
And I will always be there for you,
I will try my best to light up the dark,
Whenever you need me to.

But then the good songs always finish last,
Leaving you feeling empty and lost,
Slightly bitter and sad too,
Then pain reveals to you loves true cost.

But there's one thing that's left un-said,
How life's a playlist and has to end,
And it hurts so much to know,
You wont ever hear those songs again.

As I'm sure you all probably know, when in a long lasting relationship you become overwhelmed with a senstaion of love and emotion. Well these feelings caused me to express myself in my normal manner through poetry. Unfortunatley some modifications had to be made due to a bitter end but at least I still have this poem and a few others on the subject to remind me of everything that was good.
