Title: A Word Deeper Than Beauty
by Catherine from Kent | in writing, poetry
Beauty cannot and will not compare,
To the pureness in the love we share,
It's described with a word stronger than beauty,
One that's not been heard,
Because our love is beyond just a word,
I shall not find one that can explain,
I shall not find one that can show...
The love I feel when you call my name.
Not even the purest and whitest dove,
Can describe the preciousness of our love,
No man nor woman will understand,
The strength we share when hand in hand.
Our spark of passion is forever alight,
And I never wish to leave your sight,
My heart is engraved with your name,
I need not ask if your's bears the same.
I still picture when you got down on one knee,
The moment felt forever, eternity I could see,
You saw the tear roll from my eye,
And in happiness you did also cry.
I remember when you placed the ring on my finger,
Even now I get goose bumps, the feeling continues to linger,
As I walked down the aisle, the happiest woman alive,
Still on our love we continue to thrive.
We have grown and will grow,
More than anyone will know,
But that's because it's a special love we share,
Beauty cannot and will not compare.
My inspiration is how writing can just let you express how you feel in so many ways and it allows the reader to interpret the writer's feelings in their own way. Authors such as Kate Cann and Cecilia Ahern inspire me.
