Title: Fool in the Sky
by Robbie from Scotland | in writing, poetry
Once there was a fool who wished
For nothing more than to be famous
To have some power over all
For millions to catch him if he was to fall
The fool, he soars up so high
But no matter how high he flies
The world looks to the ground
For above there's nothing to be found
The fool begins to shout and scream
But below they're all away in dream
For from the ground so many more
And screams around the corner bore
And so the fool brings to the ground
A mist so thick that all around
Nothing more than blissful white
But to those here it's normal sight
The fool's anger grows and grows
And to the ground a rock he throws
And then the people finally see
And from their prison they all flee
The fool looks down and slowly smiles
To realise he has failed his trial
And so when all look to the sky
A crystal clear bright blue sky
And then up on top of the hill
They hear a sound that sends them chills
One man from the crowd of all
Sings softly, broke out from those walls
And so all of the people sing
They sing and look to their new king
And from all around the mist is cleared
And to this day no rock is feared
Now lyrics, but originally written as poetry. No inspiration really, just result of general thought.
