Title: Ninjas in 150 words
by Katie | in writing, fiction
Through the inky blackness of the night flitted three dark shapes. Silently they made their way through the dark streets, heading towards the bright lights of the castle. There was a feast there tonight, but that was not why they were going. They had a job to do.
As they neared the outer wall, the three figures exchanged a single glance. All of them were dressed in black, with hoods covering their faces, so that only their eyes were visible, dark and intense.
Steadily they made their way through the passages, the sounds of the feast growing gradually louder. Finally they reached the hall. Creeping unnoticed, they approached the high table. There sat the Lord, that fat, bulbous, jowly man. But they saw none of that. They saw only a target. Each loosened their blades. One would have sufficed, but no chances were being taken.
Together they struck. A pause and the chaos. Women shrieking, men bellowing, people running in all directions. In the uproar, no-one noticed the three ninjas melting away into the night.
Came from a game I play where I ask a friend for a topic and a number of words. One of the best ones I've done I think!
