Title: A nonesensical rant
by Hannah from North Yorkshire | in writing, poetry
Have you ever wondered why?
The green is grass and the blue is sky?
For common clichés they may be,
Can't cows be blue and lions green?
Or perhaps it is that they way we think,
That baboons aren't yellow but pigs are pink?
So as you read this you may reply,
That of course it is logic that I defy.
For those who ask 'can cows be green?'
Must be mad, and somewhat obscene.
But my bizarre and illogical thoughts,
Can be rationalized (well in some sort)
For should it be this world is ruled,
By stamps and labels, cold and cruel
Why is it that bats are bad?
And worms are dirty and woodlice drab?
Why are kittens cute and clean?
When most are grumpy and really quite mean?
Can these labels now apply,
To the likes of you and I?
Why because they way one was born?
Some attract disapproval, affected by scorn.
Why is one man's life worth less than his brother?
When we are the same as each other?
So why is green grass and blue sky?
Why can't it be green slugs and blue dragon flies?
Well I'm a little annoyed with logic at the minute, because I detest MATHS AS. So I thought I'd have a rant, illogically about logic and labels and and injustices and try to make it rhyme! (somewhat appallingly however)
