Title: The boy who makes me cry

by Gin from Northamptonshire | in writing, poetry

Oh she's wrong wrong wrong for you
She'll lead you to believe
That it's you who's in her dreams tonight
That it's you she really needs

And she's oh-so-plainly-pretty
And she's super-truly-nice
But does she make you laugh so hard it hurts
Does she take you to the spotlight

And shout

My old man's a dustman boy
I'll grab your outstretched arm
Round in circles, round we go
I'll keep you safe from harm

And when she's in the arms of someone
Who doesn't love her like you do
I'll still be here spinning round
Still holding on for you

Yes it's pointless and it's reckless
And the hope it slowly dies
I'm backed into a corner and
Oh boy you bleed me dry

In the mirror son the mirror
And I cover up my eyes
So I can't see the hurt you've caused
The boy who makes me cry.
