Title: Thoughts
by Gecko from Bedfordshire | in writing, fiction
The revolution started small, a means of escape, and of change. A means of escape was not known before. The militant's weapons were peace. Everyone had been taught to think the same way; no one knew there was anything else, that it could ever be different.
The medium of the revolution was through thought, no political system was changed or criticised. Not one shot fired in a lifelong war. The battle was between minds and it was an unspoken fight.
Throughout their lives they had lived at war, and no one knew. Unreported, it seemed unimportant. No one knew of their plight. Revolutionary thinking spread; infectious it caught on and took a firm hold on its captive's minds. The only route to freedom was through captivity; capture your thoughts.
They had claimed your mind; it seemed that you were on their time. They taught you to think, and so they had control of your thoughts. Your mind and thoughts must move from one captive to another. Let us reclaim our minds, let the revolutionaries become you, let yourself revolutionise. Follow their example and start a war of your own, through peaceful means you must fight yourself, fight how they changed you. It must be a secret, it must be unknown. You must think for yourself, not what they want you to think. Not a single shot will be fired but it will be your lifelong war.
