Title: Returning to your past

by Gracie from Cornwall | in writing, poetry

Fourteen years have passed,
Since the day that I appeared,
All ideas of the world suddenly surpassed,
Above me sickly smiling faces, blurry and unclear.

From then I expected the world,
To gradually make more sense,
But just as a baby, in a small ball curled,
I feel I have no defence.

It's odd how we return,
To who we used to be,
When our lives take U-turns,
And through my tears, the faces above are unclear and blurry.

This is just about how people always think that they've changed so much but when something bad happens it's almost like they're returning to what they used to be like.
