Her hands were shaking the blood didn't seem to wash off her tears ran down her face as she tried to gain control of her emotions he was dead now and her own father had killed him she had seen it all she couldn't get the image of her dying husband on the floor begging for his life. She had waited till her father had gone from the alley and she had fell to the floor crying and holding khan tightly. The gunshot wound to the center of his chest oozing with blood he continued coughing he managed to get a few last words out he just coughed 'I'm sorry I love you' she wailed and screamed for help but no one heard her she was trapped in her own nightmare. She had always known that her father hated Khan but not this much not enough to kill him. Well at least she thought not. Had her father killed before after all he didn't hesitate to pull the trigger thoughts still ran through Anna's Head twisting words and the already twisted thoughts kept playing over and over again in her head like a broken record. She fell to her knees and screamed holding her hands over her ears trying to compress the thoughts going through her head. Random moments in her life flashed before her eyes as she started praying begging that it was just a bad dream that felt so real that it had fooled her but no it was too real to be a dream she had felt the warmth of Khan's still dying body as she held him in her arm's hoping he would hold on she wasn't even sure how she got to the alley. Everything else had faded from her mind as she stood there at the kitchen sink she heard a knock at the door 'Anna its dad something terrible has happened' she wiped the tears from her eyes and plucked up enough courage to answer the door as she opened it she saw her dads Satin like face. How dare he turn up here at my door she thought after what he has done to khan how dare he. with all her strength she asked 'what is it dad what's happened?' clenching her fist she had no idea what she was really saying it had just came naturally for some strange reason. 'It's Khan, he was shot, I don't know who did it, but he's dead,' he replied as though nothing had happened how could he just lie and so well to his own flesh and blood. 'No you know who did it so do I' she shouted smirking as a single tear started to run down her face 'sweetheart you don't know you weren't there' then she felt a little cheeky for what she was about to say would shock her father. 'Oh, but I was wasn't I' she smirked. Then her smirk faded as her father said, 'you couldn't have been' the thoughts running through Anna's head nearly over run her body. 'I saw you shoot him, then you had the guts to leave him for dead, you never even called an ambulance even if he had no chance to live, that's the least you could have done' still clenching her fist ready to pounce anger had almost completely consumed her 'darling he was no good' she unclenched her fist 'your right he was no good' she forced biting her tongue 'I'll see you tomorrow then' her father said going to hug her she resisted the temptation to hurt him 'that's my girl' yes that's right daddy's little girl but not for much longer she thought when her father had left she stumbled to the phone her hand's trembling as she dialed 911 '911 state your emergency' the woman's voice echoed through her head 'I'd like to report a murder' she said confident her father would not be expecting this 'is the victim some one you know' the woman asked.' 'Yes, my husband'. 'Miss, is your husband still alive' the voice suddenly changed. 'No I tried to save him I couldn't'. 'Ok now, I'm going to alert the police, where is your husbands body'. 'Down the second alley on 36th street'. 'Miss stay where you are we'll pick up the body and send the police to you after we trace your call, ok miss'. 'Thank you' she said struggling for her breath whilst hanging up the phone. She could do nothing but to wait for the police so she sat on the couch 5 minutes later she heard a knock at the door 'miss, it's the police we have reason to believe you filed a murder report, miss are you there'. 'Yes, I'm here, I'll be one second' she walked over hesitating to open the door she unlocked it then she opened it there were three police officers 'miss, are you the one that filed the report?' The only woman of the three stepped forward and asked 'umm'yes that was me, did you find the body' she seemed to hesitate even though she did not mean to 'umm come on in' she said moving aside as they brushed past her into the living room almost immediately one of the male officers moved towards her with his hat in his hand and asked her 'miss, did you happen to witness the murder or know of anyone who would of wanted to kill your friend?' 'Umm.. I witnessed it and he is.. I mean was not my friend he was my husband' she declared. 'Oh we are sorry for your loss' the officer quite suddenly replied the female officer started to question Anna as she sat down 'do you know who did this?' Anna immediately replied 'my father that's who' as though she wanted to get it over with before she knew it she was making a statement of what had happened that night how she had held on to her husband how he had begged for his life she would stand up in court to those very words hoping that the last time she would see her father he would be in prison rotting for what he had done. A week later she was attending Khan's funeral which her mother in-law had planned because she had known the pain her daughter in-law was going through as she stood at the alter Anna made her speech 'Khan was a good man, no he was a great man who did not deserve to die the way he did, but let's focus on the positive not the negative, I did not get a chance to tell him before he died but I am telling you now I am pregnant with Khan's child, I plan to raise the baby with or without help, Khan would have been a great father, he was killed too early way too early, if only he had known' she stepped down from the alter tears now running down her rose red cheeks silently suffering even a week on the images of Khan's murder stayed in her head it was her worst nightmare and she couldn't stop seeing it in her head in her dreams every time she closed her eyes she could hear the gunshot and the sound of Khan begging for his life. After the funeral she went to visit her father who was in custody for the murder of her husband her father walked into the room and sat down Anna couldn't even look him in the eye but she wanted to she needed to so she could see whether her father had any regret just as she was thinking she heard her father speak out of nowhere 'why did you come here Anna tell me why? When you're the one that put me in here' he seemed to think that if he made Anna feel guilty she would withdraw her statement but she knew her father too well even better than he knew himself 'dad, I just need you to know that you killed the father of your unborn grandchild, if that even means anything to you at all then you will know why I am doing this' he looked confused and shocked even as though he had regret for killing the one man who was ever true to her 'what grandchild?' he asked as though he had just experienced guilt for the first time 'let me spell it out for you dad, I'm p-r-e-g-n-a-n-t and you took away my babies father' she laughed at him 'did Khan know?' her father was only thinking he would never see his grandchild 'no, I had planned on telling him that day at work so I followed him to the alley' she said not really realizing that she had just remembered how she got to the alley in the first place.
