Title: I'm not free
by Jade from Norfolk | in writing, poetry
Tears from a distance,
Frowns when you aren't there,
An occasional 'hi', on the street,
That doesn't seem too fair.
Sometimes a discussion,
About our day or our lives,
Perhaps even a kiss, on the cheek,
Before your new friend arrives.
Often when we're drunk,
We speak more than we would if not,
But you regret it, in the morning
We talk about the past a lot.
It shouldn't be this way should it,
You should be here with me
I should be there, in your arms,
This is loneliness, I'm not free!
From love, Ill never be!
