Title: Creation
by Sarah from Northern Ireland | in writing, poetry
Wet and moist like chocolate sponge,
Crumbling through my fingers,
Silky and soft.
As I let it go,
It cascades like a dirty waterfall,
Returning to the ground to take its lifeless form.
Soft and silent surrounding us like an invisible blanket,
Gliding like an eagle,
Rustling through the leaves,
Blustering through the valley,
As cold as ice,
Numbing your skin.
A light in the darkness,
A reliable friend,
Warm and comforting when respected,
But reforms instantly into your worst enemy,
Overpowering,
Manipulative,
Licking the air like a thirst animal,
Willing to destroy anybody, anything in its way.
Cool and calm,
Gently flowing over the pebbles,
Into the bubbling brook.
Angry waves,
Tossing and turning,
White and foamy,
Crashing onto the beach.
