Title: A Cry from the Mountains

Daydreamer
As the paper in my frozen hand fell to the ground, I followed, with a doubt I would ever see it again. When my eyes glimpsed the first sign of light, I felt the huge lump on my injured head. 'Damn!' This would be the seventh time I've daydreamed so much in class I've sort of acted it out. 'Miss Graham! I suppose you are so bored that you might like to take a trip to the Heads office? Hm?' Well, what could I say? No thank you, I would prefer just to daydream some more in this extremely boring English lesson. 'Yes Miss. Do I have permission Miss to go to the Nurse Miss?' Miss, Miss, Miss, Miss! Why couldn't I just call her Karen, that's her name for Gods sake! Instead of Miss. Anyway, of I went in my newest high heels and sat down in the Head's office. And Miss still hasn't replied to my question.
'Again?' he asks. 'You should know the routine by now. Can you recite what I say to you every time?'
'Just tell Miss Karen Hardy to put a sock in it and worry about what she's doing rather than worry about me.'
'Exactly. Then what do I ask you to do next?'
'Go straight to the Nurse and forget about it.'
'Shoo then!'
He's very nice to me, but he is also very nice to the teachers. Let's take Miss Hardy for example. He would never shout at her. Ever. I would. So now I go off to the Nurses. Again. My boring day at school. The nurse says this could be serious calls my mum who takes me to A&E who check my injury who says it's all fine and I can go back to school. That happened again today except something changed there. I was taken to A&E and I wasn't aloud back to school. It was actually serious. I am taken to the theatre, and I had no idea what was going on. It can't have been so terrible that I was taken to a hospital theatre. They obviously gave me an anaesthetic because I was asleep and dreaming. That I was having a tuma, that they were taking me away from mum, that I was about to die. They drill through my skull, open my brain; remove whatever it is they are removing. And then, well. They get a needle and thread and stick that into my skull. I can't feel anything but there is a pain, a horrible pain. No! I'm awake. My dream wasn't a dream. That is what they had done. I was just in a mild sleep. So I felt a bit of the pain. I'm crying. I want to see Mum. She's not here, where is she? And then, I'm gone.
The Harry Potter series and A Series of Unfortunate Events. I have always enjoyed writing and I just never had the courage to read anything to anyone's face. That has given me some confidence.
