Title: Jack

by Alexa from Gloucestershire | in writing, poetry

There once was a boy called Jack,
Who lived in the bottom of a brown cotton sack.
He slept in there all day long,
And by the time the night had come.
Jack awoke and began to knit shorts, shirts and a few pairs of jeans,
Of which he then sold to rich teens.
Who paid him a large sum of cash,
For him to hold a very large bash.
They got changed and went along to an unused apartment for a drink or two.
Most had more and spent some time, sick in the loo.

When Jack turned 20, he woke up one warm summer's night,
He was blinded by something bright.
He stumbled out of his brown sack,
And then there was a large 'THUD' and 'SMACK'.
There were a few footsteps on the ground,
Jack became scared as his heart began to pound.
He had been knocked to the ground at that time,
Poor Jack was knocked unconscious as his weak body sprawled on the ground, and there he lie.
As the night crept on the footsteps came back,
They were the same people and they killed poor Jack.

In the morning Jack's friends (the rich teens) went for a walk,
They saw poor Jack, dead on the sidewalk.
They called the police and by that time,
They had arrived and Jack's friends were wild.
Seeing poor Jack being taken away,
They knew that they were a little too late to catch them today.
They haunted everywhere for them all,
At last they saw them sat on a wall.
Looking at everything that Jack had made,
The boys had planned to sell everything at the market or do a big trade.
When they realized that Jack's friends had heard their plan, they fled the city,
All of Jack's friends thought that this case was tricky.
The boys had left everything by the wall,
The police took everything that they stored.
