Title: Down in the lake

by Milly from East Sussex | in writing, poetry

Hands clench tight, flailing madly
Silver eyes unblinking, watching sadly
Nothing to push, nothing to hit
Dragging you down bit by bit
Lungs tight, constricting and Maddening
Everything wasted as you fell down screaming,
Eyes gently close, thrashing slowly stops
Fingers uncurl, head gently bobs.

I have always hated the idea of drowning, not being able to breath.
