Title: The shadow caster

by Tom from Hampshire and Isle of Wight | in writing, fiction

The man entered the room; he was around 6ft tall, with balding grey hair and a face with a permanent frown upon on it. It was unknown that this was one of the most powerful men on the planet and He was the type that wanted people to know it. He always dressed in fine suits and flashy shoes, sunglasses that never quite suited him and watches too big for his gradually thinning wrists. The room was simple with a basic layout 2 filling cabinets and a single chair and desk and a variety of pipes running across the ceiling. The man walked over to the window and tore the shutters open light flooded into the room and illuminated it all the man glanced around for any unwelcome visitors and then proceeded to sit down at his desk. As he sat down, a slender figure unfolded itself from the pipes and fell down behind him silently, straightening up and brushing of its black jumpsuit. It had a variety of weapons all in different holster strapped to his almost rhythmically pulsing muscles, he lifted a slender grey gun and held it tensed and ready. The man at the desk spoke,
'I knew you would find me in the end' he slowly stood up and made his way over to the window turning when he got there to face the intruder.
'Don't even think about running' It said as the man began to unscrew the window catch,
'I've spent too long tracking you down, listening to every word you ever said, every breath you took I heard, every step you took I tracked and now I have you where I want you, you know children are scared of the shadows? I have reason to believe you too, are I am your shadow and you fear me'
'There is no way we could talk about this' said the man letting panic get the better of him.
'No it has been too long', the man looked down and saw 3 bright red holes in his torso and when he looked the shadow had disappeared. He slumped forwards the final breath escaping him as he hit the floor.

Well I've always liked spy books and thought I'd give it a go.
