People constantly tell me
To always tell the truth
But how can I not lie to them?
The truth's too hard to do
No one can stand reality
If they did we all would fall
Lies keep us resistant from the pain; the hurt
So everyone acts like there's nothing wrong at all
But why live life so ignorant?
Is it better to live not knowing?
Never caring, never understanding
Like covering the rain & making it start snowing
So if behind every truth there is a lie
How can we trust anything we hear?
Learn to trust only yourself
& no longer live in fear.
