If you could just see me then things would be easy,
But that's not the way love is.
If things were so simple then I would be holding your hand,
I would gaze in to your blue eyes,
Beneath stars in the midnight sky.
No matter how good things would seem in my head
I know we aren't meant to be.
There will be no you and me.
No initials carved in to a tree.
And I know you won't love me forever, no never.
Several years pass us by
I'm still thinking of you,
My heart is oh-oh-so confused.
Where's the one who made my dreams all come true?
They say love is just so unpredictable, it
Never makes up its mind,
Still I'd hoped that you'd love me forever...
I had a crush on a friend for a long time, and I wrote this about him. He just never seemed to notice... I tend to go with the flow when I write poetry, a bit of a 'spur of the moment' kind of thing. I wrote this at night when I couldn't sleep, I do that alot!
