Title: No one must ever know
by Malcolm from Derbyshire | in writing, fiction
No one must ever know, because if they do who knows what will happen.
Ok so you really like this lad, I mean a lot more than you can explain to anyone. You've been out for ages, but it feels like everything has to be kept a secret.
Why should it be a secret though? Everyone else holds hands in the street. Even your parents do it then theirs that odd peck on the cheek in full view of everyone no one takes any notice of them though.
Why should you keep your feelings for him locked away?
You're walking round your local shopping centre like you do with your other mates checking out all the shops. As you walk through the main centre you hold his hand he holds your hand tighter.
It feels good feels like you are a part of him feels like nothing could hurt you. Oooooh hang on that woman looked at you and that one ooo and them and that man this ain't so good. Them girls just smiled at you why's that lad staring at you. Hang on that dude's smiling at you ooo he's sexy nah he must be straight.
Big group of lads, better drop his hand quick before they see. You sigh in relief as you realise they didn't see.
That kiss you know you wanna you really want to kiss him. What if someone sees though? Oh come on nothing bad can happen.
His face is so cute you get closer umm this is good. A real good feeling he has warm lips. You break apart and look into his eyes, he's smiling.
Oh, everyone is looking at you both. Well not everyone, but it feels like it.
Damn them lads from earlier they seen it all that big group of them.
'They are so GAY.' The group closes in!
You hold his hand tighter but it's to late they have seen you.
There must be about six of them and just you two.
As you both try to run one of them trips you up. Smack you fall to the ground. You feel a sudden rush as your noise starts to bleed.
Your friend tries to protect you, as the lads start kicking you both. Blood everywhere you cannot escape.
As you try to get to your feet they kick you more, shouting abuse at you.
Onlookers just watch they don't want to get involved. Some laugh and say things like 'Harder Harder!'
Suddenly they stop.
You don't know why they have stopped but they have gone to.
With pain screaming through your body you roll onto you side.
Your friend is there lying still and motionless.
Blood, and a straw colour liquid seeps form his ear. What happens next? Anything could happen it's down to you. Can you change homophobia for good?
Experience of myself and my friends.
