Title: perfect silence
by Sophie from Essex | in writing, poetry, dark
Tarnished by default
the god's didn't deal her the prettiest of hands
just a pretty face, it's all she has to her name
and the scars of her history tar up her blood
and the grit of the streets sparkle in her eyes
she's rusting in the damp of the rain
so tonight she's going nowhere
but she's never looking back
drowning her sorrows
in a breath of cloudy smoke
praying to the darkness
to take her
Perfect on the outside
he never failed to impress
the public school boy with the midas touch
been pushed so far now he's pushing back
the taste of regrets still fresh in his tongue
and bitterness bleeding through the pores in his skin
dark rusty shackles restricting his brain
and the tears of dirt staining his face
it's a shame he doesn't know
what he's running from
but he's falling to fast
into something else
just perfect strangers
in the eye of a storm
amidst all the anguish
their broken hearts bleeding
melting into one
so just for tonight
the lungs full of dirt
and the scent of the wine
it's enough
and their tear stained faces
and blistered hands interwine
her naked body; battered and bruised
pressed into his like a mannequin
that delicious contrast
losing themselves in a gritty dark whirl
both running from something
their hearts on the line
magic in the dark
fireworks erupting with every touch
her breath caught in her throat
somewhere between death and love
those glittered lights are wasted on them
they've got all they need in the arms of the other
that blood filled kiss
and those broken words
it all means nothing
just perfect silence
just another oem, practicing writing although it kind of lacks any proper form
