Title: Rizzle Kicks

I chose Rizzle Kicks because I like their music and thought that their style would translate well visually. They describe it as "Indie Hop" which is a mixture of different musical styles, so I wanted to represent this contrast. The brick wall background represents the urban style and Rizzle and Sylvester's fashion style that they described as "preppy with a street edge". This leads on to the grey and green part of the background which I used to contrast the urban with a bit more glamour. The colours used are quite muted, to reflect once again their style and the circles of brighter colours reflect their personalities. I decided to use mixed media for my design to make it look professional but also home-made and make the design and the music cohesive. I drew Rizzle Kicks in simplistic way to make them eye catching, to show that they stand out in the crowd. Instead of valorising the subjects of the portrait I have done the opposite which I believe shows much more of their personalities as you can focus on the facial expressions. The portrait is simple but effective and I hope you think so too.
