I chose Ed Sheeran as his music style is reminiscent of bands I enjoy. I chose this particular image of Ed as I feel it’s a powerful image. It shows he is a young and modest guy but has a very creative outlook. The style I have chosen for the image is black & white with blocks of transparent colour overlapping. This was inspired by Ed saying all his songs have colours. I wanted to create a simple image with emphasis on the portrait, however, I tried to steer clear of making it too “in your face’. I feel this is backed up by the composition I chose, as well as the typeface as again it is very basic but works. I believe the image I have created highlights Ed’s inspiration from colours as well as his creativity but also leaves something to the imagination of the consumer.
