Title: SCREAM

The band that i have chosen is 'El Policia'. A section of their interview i have recently watched interested me.They explained how their music reflects abstract human and mysterious emotions. The image that i am submiting is done in oil paints on canvas panel. My work focuses on different emotion and the style that i paint in conveys this, it is photographic yet there is a sense of rawness to it which i think is very pure in it own way.They also have a lot of influences within their music, my work shows a man that looks like he has a lot going on in his life, so much he is being blown away, could be by something physical or something else. you could say that he is being blown away by the impact of the music itself. Something must of had a huge impact on him and thats what i think happened when this band formed. I also chose this painting simply because its different. its not as graphic as some of the album art i have seen but i think it works. the use of portraiture i my design is very literal. Their is an image of a face, little background. The background could be made up of the situation the face is in. the portrait reflect something i think everyone feels from time to time.
