Title: Rizzle kicks

Sylvester and Rizzle have a rather individual sort of ‘do it yourself’ indie meets hip hop vibe that really appeals to me. I wanted to produce work for them because I felt like their preppy street style would be a fun and inspiring look to work with. I Started by creating surfaces on cardboard using paints and chalks to create a textural type look that would be reminiscent of torn up billboards or street walls. I then used paint to capture both band mates individually. Using Photoshop I then manipulated the image to create a textural layered look. The main focus of the composition is the portrait of both band mates, but I tried to over lay parts of each of the portraits to make them work with the background. I also used some Polaroid images from their blog so as to relate it in with their look and give the overall image a more contemporary feel.
