I came up with the idea for my album cover by reading the interview with Ed. In the interview he talked about how he loved colour and how he paints with his music. Also he mentioned how his bracelets are important to him and I wanted to highlight them in my work because they also fitted with the fact that he is very colourful. My album cover reflects Ed’s personality because it is very colourful I feel that colour is very important to him so I wanted to use a lot of it in the art work. Also it highlights his bracelets that mean a lot to him and they also add more colour to the piece. As Ed is an artist and said he paints with his music I thought that using paintbrushes with a range of different colours would help reflect his personality and his music. I think that this is a successful album cover because it reflects Eds personality as well as his music. I also think that due to the contrast of the black and white on colour draws attention to the image of Ed instead of the plain text that I have used.
