When I first found out about the competition my mum and I went to London Design Museum to look at Matthew's work. There I found out that he uses bright colours, rarely uses straight hems and likes patterns. I tried to use these features in my design.I have used the neck strap so it is a little different than a normal halter neck. Further down the dress is an under bust belt to break up the red especially on the back. I needed to bring Mexico into the dress more so I decided to put a patterned panel in at the front. The pattern on the panel is from the shape at the top of a Mexican Temple. The colours I have chosen are the ones that I discovered in my research.
