My inspiration for my final design was the animals of Mexico such as the Jaguar and the colourful birds. The spots on the sari-like dress are similar to the print of the jaguar and the colour on it takes inspiration from the birds. The feathers on the shoulder bar also takes inspiration from the birds. The base dress is black symbolising the 'day of the dead' - a Mexican festival. The shoulder bar is bold and interesting, giving the dress a sense of power. The second design takes it's inspiration from the ancient Aztec temples, and the elagance that all designs should incude.
