When I think about Mexico I think of spicy foods and fresh fruits for example Chillies of which I have placed on the neck line of my dress design. I wanted the chillies to stand out, so I didn't want the dress to be red which is a common colour that is used in Mexico; because of this I decided to use green, which is a calm colour but still a colour that can be easily associated with the idea of Mexico. The back of my dress is in a twisted/plaited design as that is a very detailed process and Mexicans love to have detail in their dresses. I can imagine this dress being worn to a classy type ball, because it is modern mixed with tradition of stitching and detail. Which is what I wanted for this dress.
