I have researched into Mexican History and found the Jalisco dress, it is an Mexican tradition to wear these dresses to music. I looked into Mexican dance and cuisine and found the colours: Red, Green and blue are used. I have improved my design many of times, each time thinking about the climate and sticking to the style of Jalisico dress and Matthew Williamson's style. I have made my design more modern and unique while sticking to the Mexican theme. The red symbolises bravery and strength and Green for hope, joy and love. I have also used Blue which represents elegance. My design is to be made out of Moire, which is a combination of silk, rayon or cotton and has a watermarked finish. It is used as eveningwear, formals, dresses and coats.
