Title: The Elegant Hippy

My design was based on raising the awareness of eco fashion and the way it protects our environment, that its not I created a screen print using the word 'eco' in psychedelic font, and flowers. I looked at hippies clothing to develop this pattern as they were an environmentally friendly group of people. I also created a collage in certain parts made up of newspaper, skeleton leaves and pictures of the consequences of waste, of which I have decoratively embroidered on top of. The flowers are made up of recycled wrapping paper and I have used other components, such as shells and hemp. The long corset back and the scraps of lace help to reflect the elegance of my design. This dress was made from a pair of jeans and a skirt.
