Coin combinations that make 10p (no narration)
Description
Several coin values are shown before they morph into different combinations of coins which make up the same value, helping children recognise the value of each coin and understand how coins represent value.
Classroom Ideas
This is a very short clip (only 32 seconds). It does not have any words. The clip could be played without any introduction. Then play the clip again and challenge children to write down all the 鈥榯he same as鈥 statements that they see on the screen eg 5p is the same as 5 x 1p coins. Children could then draw a coin from a bag and roll a dice. The coin tells the children how much money they have to make and the dice tells them how many different coins they can use. If they are successful they score a point. The first player to score 5 points is the winner.
