To divide using the line method you can count how many jumps of five you need to take along the number line until you reach 30.

Using a number line
To work out 30 梅 5, count how many 'jumps' of 5 it takes to get from 0 to 30.
It takes 6 'jumps' or 'groups' of 5.
30 梅 5 = 6
