Describing yourself and other people

If you want to describe how you look a really useful verb is which means to have.

If you want to say I have something, you say .

You can then add a noun and an adjective to describe what you look like. For example:

- I have blonde hair

A girl with blonde hair.

Try remembering some of these key words and phrases:

If you want to describe what someone else looks like you can use , which means he/she has. For example:

- She has brown hair

The 'j' sound

Remember in Spanish a 'j' is pronounced as a 'h'. Here are some examples of how this sound is used:

- eyes

- ears

Did you know?

When describing the colour of your eyes, you need to make the adjective into a plural, normally by adding 's' or 'es'.

For example:

  • - I have blue eyes

  • - I have green eyes

  • - I have brown eyes
