GIRL
Yeah, but it doesn鈥檛 make sense鈥
NARRATOR
Sometimes you have to keep reading something and keep thinking about it.
GIRL
Alright. So it says this mysterious figure is walking along, right? And it says his footsteps are making the ground shake. So he must be wearing massive boots! So that鈥檚 a bit weird!
And then it says he looks down on things, which means he鈥檚 big-headed and he thinks he鈥檚 better than everyone else? Maybe he thinks he鈥檚 great because he鈥檚 got huge boots! And it says he鈥檚 got his head in the clouds, so that means he鈥檚 always dreaming鈥
Then here it says he goes skateboarding on a car! That鈥檚 so silly! How can he do that?
NARRATOR
Go back over it all and keep thinking about it. Then link the facts and clues together to see the bigger picture.
GIRL
OK. Makes the ground shake鈥 looks down on things鈥 head in the clouds鈥 car鈥
Oh, I get it! He鈥檚 a giant!

Sometimes the text doesn鈥檛 make sense straight away. Fitting it altogether in your mind is called comprehension. It can be a lot of fun!
