Individual presentation – WJECCreating a good impression
Being able to deliver a presentation confidently involves a lot of preparation beforehand. To make a good impression, you should plan, research, organise and practise your presentation.
After you have prepared your presentation, it’s important to practise delivering it. The more you practise, the more confident you will be.
Not only that, if you rehearse the presentation, you will become more and more familiar with the vocabulary and language patterns and you will become more fluent. Hopefully, you will then create a good impression!
If you practise, you will also be able to familiarise yourself with using your notes and this would also be a good opportunity to check that you can speak for the required length of time (eg 2-5 minutes for GCSE students).
Pronunciation is important too – and there is only one way to improve that: by speaking aloud! Record yourself to see how you sound.
Why not have a go at practising pronunciation now?
