These are part of the early religious scriptures of Islam. It is believed that they are now lost. They contained Allah鈥檚 revelationWhen something that was previously hidden becomes known. Tawrat

They are mentioned in the 蚕耻谤鈥檃苍 as being revealed to King Dawud and are similar to those found in the Book of PsalmsA book in the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) containing songs of praise and worship. in the Christian Bible. The 蚕耻谤鈥檃苍 states:
We sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma鈥檌l, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms (蚕耻谤鈥檃苍 4:163).
Injil

It is sometimes referred to as the Gospel of Jesus in Islam. Like all holy books prior to the 蚕耻谤鈥檃苍, Muslims believe that the meaning of this book has been altered by people over time. Rather than believing that Isa was the son of God, as in Christianity, Muslims believe that the Injil reveals the coming of the Prophet Isa.
