The Regenerators Hall of Fame Awards Privacy Notice

Why are we doing this and how can you participate?
The 成人快手 is looking for young people who are passionate about the planet to become Regenerators climate champions. The Regenerators Hall of Fame Award is open to those between 5-16 years who have inspired others to reduce waste; driven change within their school, family or local community; or worked with other young people to look after nature in their local area.
There are six (6) Regenerator Hall of Fame Awards available, three (3) for groups and three (3) for individuals.
The group awards:
- Primary School Award.
- Secondary School Award; and
- Community Group Award.
The Awards for individuals are split by age categories:
- 5鈥9-year olds.
- 10-13 year olds; and
- 14-16 year olds.
There are a couple of ways to enter:
- A parent/guardian can nominate their own child.
- Those they teach, or work with at a community group can nominate a child or a group with the relevant child/children鈥檚 parental/guardian permission; and
- A child can nominate themselves or a group they are in, but the parent/guardian will need to submit the nomination on their behalf.
Children should always be made aware that they are being nominated.
The 成人快手 will collect this personal data via an online platform used by the 成人快手, which the nominating adult will use to provide short statement of 250 words providing their reason for the nomination. You may also attach up to two (2) supporting documents should you wish to.
Winning entries will have a short film produced about their contributions, which will be hosted on the 成人快手 Bitesize website to inspire other young people and may feature on 成人快手 programming and its social media accounts.
If we broadcast a child or group鈥檚 contribution, this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and the contribution may be used again in a future broadcast.
Entries worthy of a special mention and commendation will also be featured on the 成人快手 Bitesize website alongside the category winners.
What personal data will 成人快手 collect and how will we use it?
The 成人快手 will collect and process the personal data detailed below for the purposes of administering The Regenerators Hall of Fame Awards. Specifically, we will use this to:
- Select the winning entries and runners-up for The Regenerators Hall of Fame Awards.
- To contact the nominating adult if the child and/or group is successful; and
- To feature in promotional material for the award if successful.
Personal data:
The 成人快手 will collect and process the following personal data about the nominee(s)
- First name
- Age range
- County
- Name of school or community group (if applicable)
- School or community group address (if applicable)
- Information about how the child and/or group made a positive impact on the environment
- Depending on the supporting documents, an image, video or audio clip of the child or group nominee
- If successful, a film featuring the child will be produced
The 成人快手 collect and process the following personal data about their parents/guardians and for teacher/community group leaders:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
Who is the Data Controller?
The 成人快手 is the 鈥渄ata controller鈥 of your personal data. This means that the 成人快手 decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the 成人快手 has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.
Lawful basis for processing your personal data
Our legal basis on which the 成人快手 processes your personal data is the performance of its public task. The 成人快手鈥檚 role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates, and entertains. This is consistent with the 成人快手鈥檚 wider public purposes under its Royal Charter, which states that the 成人快手 鈥渟hould provide specialist educational content to help support learning for children and teenagers across the United Kingdom. It should encourage people to explore new subjects and participate in new activities through partnerships with educational, sporting, and cultural institutions.鈥
Sharing your personal data
Entries to the Regenerators Hall of Fame will be judged by 成人快手 staff and a panel of six (6) celebrity judges.
The 成人快手 works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of the 成人快手 and not independently of the 成人快手. We currently use a third-party data storage provider to store your data collected through the uploader form.
We may also share personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.
Retaining your personal data
The 成人快手 will retain winning entrants鈥 personal data for two (2) years, after which it will be deleted.
Shortlisted finalists will have their data stored until 31st October 2022, after which it will be deleted.
Unsuccessful entrants鈥 personal data will be deleted 90 days after submission.
If your contribution is used for broadcast, your personal data will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the 成人快手.
Your personal data will be stored in the UK and the EEA.

You have rights under data protection law.
You can request a copy of the personal data 成人快手 stores about you.
You have the right to ask for the personal data we collect about you to be deleted however there are limitations and exceptions to this right which may entitle the 成人快手 to refuse your request.
In certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data.
You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal data to you or to another organisation, in certain circumstances.
