How does it work?
The human eye is shaped like a ball (a 'sphere').
The black spot in the middle is called the pupil.
Light travels through the pupil to the back of the eye.
The eye sends information about shapes and colours up to the brain.
The brain then turns this into a picture so we know what we are looking at!
Why are two eyes better than one?
- Two eyes are better at helping the brain work out how close or far away things are from us.
