Street art

Street art can be seen all over Northern Ireland in many towns and cities.

These artworks are free for all to see and are colourful and pleasing to look at.

In the past some forms of street art were seen as vandalism, as the artists often did not get permission to create them.

But nowadays street art is usually commissioned by someone who wishes to turn an everyday wall or building into a work of art.
