The two lads from Solihull have, in their own words, "known each other since year zero."

"We've been writing on and off our whole lives," they told ณษศหฟ์สึ WM's Brett Birks and Louise Brierley live on Introducing.

"It's very fifty-fifty the way we write. The whole process is very equal. We spend a lot of time coming up with ideas in the studio but then we tend to go outside to get ideas from our surroundings."

Andy has a degree in popular music and recording and was also a finalist in the 2007 UK Songwriting Contest.

"We're not playing too many gigs at the moment," he said. "We've both got a lot going on but but love the writing process so that's what we're concentrating on the most rather than performing.

"We love going to a Starbucks, sitting down and coming up with lyrics. We've found that we don't get quite as much done if we go to the pub!"
